Review: Griff Montgomery,Quarterback
Griff Montgomery,Quarterback by Jean C. Joachim
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I love football and what better way to spend you day when football is not on but to read a really good story involving the quarterback. This was a really good enjoyable read. Loved the charaters and their quirks made me laugh. Loved how they both loved the pup and neither wanted to give him up. Glad I finally found the time to sit down and read this book as I would have missed out if I hadn't.

I was gifted the privilege of beta reading this book and let me tell you I so enjoyed it. This story line is so different from my other shifter books I've read that it caught my interest from the beginning. The author has a wonderful way of telling stories and I hope she keeps writing for a long time as her stories are one's I so enjoy. If you are a lover of shifter stories then you should love this book

Alpha Wolf's Pet, Hunted Book 3 by Eva Gordon
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Audio Review
"Good story"
Would you try another book from Eva Gordon and/or Christine Padovan?
yes for Eva Gordan No for Christine Padovan (sorry just do not like how she narrators stories)
Who was your favorite character and why?
Mia cause I liked how she grew in the books
Would you be willing to try another one of Christine Padovan’s performances?
No I really do not like how she narrators
What would have made this romance irresistible?
parts of the story could have been a little smoother but all in all I liked it
Any additional comments?
worth a credit for sure as I really was invested in the story after listening to the first two books. I would have like the narrator to be the same for all three books as I really do not like the third narrators voice so it was harder to listen to this one

Review: Kept
Kept by Eva Gordon
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

"Decent story line"
What did you like best about Alpha Wolf's Pet, Kept? What did you like least?
It was different than any other paranormal series I've read.
The thing with the blood I didn't like how that was being addressed
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Sometimes the story seems stiff like the author wasn't sure which way to go. If it could have been smoother I would have enjoyed it more
Which scene was your favorite?
Where Dom saved her from the mob guy who was fixing to make her life hell
Was Alpha Wolf's Pet, Kept worth the listening time?
yes it was and was worth a credit
Any additional comments?
It was worth my time and I will be listening to the next one as I am invested in the story and want to see how it ends.

BUTTERFLY STYLE: Bianca Sommerland
Freedom has always been a priority for Kelsey “Chicklet” Galloway. From choosing bartending over a ‘real’ career, to avoiding monogamy like the plague, she’s always paved her own way, living her life in a way that makes her happy. As a Domme she is content to give a lucky sub—or two—a night to remember, but she’s never met anyone who made her consider sharing her carefree world.
Until she meets a woman who desperately needs a little taste of it.
Officer Laura Tallant has her whole life in order, is looking at a promotion on the police force in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and finally has some time off for a much needed vacation. When her plan to find some release with her former Master falls through, she’s left searching for an alternative. And finds one that fulfills more than her desire to escape reality for a brief, blissful moment.
Chicklet makes her feel more alive than anyone she’s ever known, but nothing about her follows the rules of what Laura is supposed to want. The last time Laura put her heart on the line, she was left broken and alone. A chance at love might rip open old scars. Or give her a safe place to finally let them heal.

Justice for Boone by Susan Stoker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I loved getting to see more of Hayden and not just the Hayden who is the deputy. I loved how Boone helped her realize she was more than just a deputy she was a beautiful woman too. Wonderful love story with just enough drama to keep it a good story. I must admit I cheered Boone on when he finally realized he had to take care of Dana and gave her a good one.

Don't assume you know a character from getting a glimpse of them in another story cause you would be wrong. This was a wonderful love story about two people that bring the best out in each other.

Reaper by A. Zavarelli
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I won this book and as I'm currently reading a print book a few nights a week I decided I woud check this one out as I've never read anything by this author before. First thing I really enjoyed the story and once I starting reading it I kept reading till I was at the end of the book. Second wow it's a series I'm going to have to check the other out. It's always nice when you win a book and actually end up enjoying the story.
I loved how the characters where with each other and helped each other in so many ways.

Review: Black Rainbow
Black Rainbow by J.J. McAvoy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Audio review
"Love the narrators "
Where does Black Rainbow rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Its a great story and a wonderful performance. so it's high on my list
What did you like best about this story?
How it was actually different from a lot of books I've read/listened too
What about Aubrey Vincent and Marcio Catalano ’s performance did you like?
I love their voices and how they bring the story to life. They play well off each other and it's seamless when they swap narratoring
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Black Rainbows
Any additional comments?
This is first time I've ever purchased a book from loving how the narrators did a previous listen. I was hooked on them when listening to Idle Bloom. I'm so glad as this was a wonderful story and well worth a credit

Title: Scarlet Stone
Author: Jewel E Ann
Genre: A romantic suspense standalone
Release Date: December 10th, 2016
Synopsis:
“My name is Scarlet Stone, and my biggest fear is that someday I will find what I want most in life, and it will be impossible to steal.”
What happens when life just stops? When one moment makes you question your entire existence?
Scarlet Stone is a third-generation thief who has everything: a doting fiancé, a spacious London flat, and a legitimate job offer. In a single breath, everything becomes nothing, and she finds herself on a plane to Savannah, Georgia in search of the meaning of life.
After securing a six-month lease for a beachfront house on Tybee Island, Scarlet changes the way she looks, thinks, eats—basically her entire outlook on life. She needs peace, but what she gets is a housemate who looks like Thor, acts like a warden, and smells her proximity like a Bloodhound.
Theodore Reed is a carpenter and perfectionist with a body built of steel, a black, hollow heart, and a hunger for revenge. He doesn’t like company, girly-smelling crap, and British accents.
He resents every breath she takes.
She’s fascinated by his every move.
In time, they discover their coexistence is toxic, their physical attraction is electric, the secrets they keep mean the difference between life and death, and the only truth they share is that everything is a lie.
“Over eighty-five percent of the world's population believes in a higher power, yet, very few people believe in miracles.”

Review: Her Halloween Treat
Her Halloween Treat by Tiffany Reisz
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Made me remember all the days I enjoyed reading a good Harlequin story cause this one of them.
it was a cute, sweet and funny read. Although it did had some sad spots they were just part of the story line and didn't bog you down with sadness. This is one of those need a good quick read or a rainey day treat. I always enjoy a good book and glad I decided to splurge and buy myself the print version as their is just something about turning the page of a book that just doesn't feel the same on a kindle.

Review: Taking Charge
Taking Charge by Ruth Cardello
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I love this series. I do believe this is my favorite series that Ruth has. With every book I grow more and more fond of all the characters I met or see again in the stories. I adore the little family of friends she has created for us and I'm so glad David and Lucy finally got their story. This is one of those stories that you could enjoy if you haven't read the others in the series but I think you would enjoy it more if you have read the others as it would make you understand the characters better.
I loved how patient David was but knew when he had to stand his ground. I so hope there is going to be more stories in this series as I would hate to see it end

Laid Bare by Deanndra Hall
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I've got a new author to go to for my Fantasy/Sci-fi books now. I honestly wasn't sure if I'd like this story as no offense ment but some writers just can't go from romance to Fantasy/Sci-Fi. Well I shouldn't have worried at all as this story was awesome and I loved it. I love reading romance but I've been missing my Fantasy/Sci-fi as most of the authors that I used to read in that genre have passed away(yes I've been reading for a long time) I am happy to report that one of my favorite romance authors is now one of my favorite Fantasy/Sci-Fi authors also.
I did recieve an advance copy

"Decent story line"
What did you like best about Alpha Wolf's Pet, Hidden? What did you like least?
I liked how the author did werewolfs but made them different than any other stories I have read so far.
I did feel like the author needs to be a little smoother on how she used all the elements she had in the story. Needed to blend them a little better
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
I liked the ending it didn't leave me hanging even though I know there is a book 2 and 3. I wasn't left with a cliffhanger
Did Meghan Kelly do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Yes but I felt like if the story was a little smoother she would have done a better job narratoring. I did like how she did the different voices
Any additional comments?
This is worth a credit and my time listening to it. I am already wanting to listen to the next book in the series as I liked the characters

Then he looked up, his dark eyes in shadow, and Alex remembered how much she wasn't wearing. Though she worked out fairly regularly, she still tended to be a little leaner than was perhaps good for her. With her hours and not so great eating schedule, it was hard for her to gain weight. Her boobs had always been a nice C though, which men seemed to appreciate.
She dropped the towel beside the tub and used the steps to climb in, aware his eyes were on her the entire time. Gasping, she sank down, loving the feel of the heat. "Oh, damn this feels good."
He smiled in agreement and rested his head back against the rim. "As soon as I get in, I can feel the tension in my tendons easing. It's one of the few things that actually helps with my pain."
Heat had wonderful recuperative properties, so she wasn't surprised he enjoyed it so much. They used baths much the same way at the hospital where she worked.
Their legs bumped under the water and she felt him shift away, but they were still in close proximity to each other. Alex wanted to slide over and lean her head against his shoulder, but even that might be too much, too fast. It was a very strange phenomenon, but she felt like she belonged with him. They matched somehow. She wasn't sure how exactly, but it was enough to keep her looking for ways to get in.
"I wanted to thank you for going with me tonight," he told her quietly. "You kind of got sucked into the drama."
Alex chuckled. "Well, I don't mind drama. And I was with you, so it was all good."
He gave her a narrow-eyed look. "I'm not a catch, Alex."
She shrugged, knowing he was trying to warn her off. "I'm not after a catch. I'd be happy with a guy who knew how to show a girl a good time."
Grinning, she allowed herself to slip under the water, then lifted back up, slicking her hair back. Duncan continued to stare at her, as if he still couldn't believe her words. Well, if he wouldn't believe her words, maybe he would believe her actions.
In spite of her feeling that they should move slowly, she pushed across the suddenly small tub. Making sure to keep her hips angled out so that there was no chance she would bump into him, she rested her hands on his strong shoulders. His hands came up to hold her ribs and he gave her the perfect support she needed to lean in for a soft kiss. For a moment she feared he would push her away, but he didn't.
He tasted of...she wasn't sure what. But it was minty and spicy and exciting and intriguing. In spite of her plans to keep it short, Alex lingered. With one hand she reached up, cupping his lean cheek. It bristled with beard hairs, but she smoothed down, with the lay of the grain. Feeling a little daring she reached out with the tip of her tongue, tasting his lower lip.
For most of this Duncan held completely still and let her do what she wanted, not responding to her kiss. But when she tasted him, licking along his lips, he seemed to give in to some inner struggle. One of his hands moved down to cup her hip, pulling her deeper into the water, and the other hand reached up to cup the back of her head. Then, using his grip on her hair, he took control of the kiss.
Dog Tags for Christmas
About the Book
Men and women in the armed forces are often away from home, family and their beloved pets for the holidays. But this year, three service members will be home for Christmas in heartwarming military homecoming stories by New York Times Bestselling Authors Lindsay McKenna, KaLyn Cooper and J.M. Madden.Snowflake’s Gift by Lindsay McKenna
Two veterans—one human, one canine—have returned to Montana to recover from the traumas of war. Former Army Ranger Nick Conway depended on his WMD dog Snowflake to help him navigate IEDs on the battlefield. Now he needs his best friend to help him cope with his PTSD and acclimate to civilian life. When he meets Holly McGuire and agrees to help her deliver meals to the elderly, her inner light calls to him, but his demons hold him back from giving in to his attraction. But Snowflake takes an immediate shine to the kindhearted Holly—and he has never led Nick down the wrong path.
SEAL's Christmas Dream by J.M. Madden
When Veterinarian Willow James' office is broken into, it's natural that she turn to her soul mate, former Navy SEAL K9 handler Joe Flynn, to track down the culprits. The trail leads to a notorious Pit-Bull fighting ring. It may take a Christmas miracle and a helpful nudge from an old partner to get everyone home safely.
Noel's Puppy Power by KaLyn Cooper
Tanner Hill is better at communicating with animals than women. That might be why he hasn’t had a second date in over two years. He’s also been extremely busy with his kennel that has become the premier training facility, specializing in supplying dogs to veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Then again, there is this psychologist he can’t get out of his head, or his heart.
Dr. Bailey Conrad would never allow the loss of half her right leg to an IED in Iraq to stop her. Every day at the VA hospital, she sees patients who have lost so much more to the war effort. It’s her goal in life to help as many vets as possible to find a 'new normal', because she knows firsthand, it’s the internal scars that can be the most difficult to heal.

Embattled Ever After by J.M. Madden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Every time I read one of J.M.'s books in this series I remember why I love her writing. She gives us a wonderful story while dealing with the reality of what happened to our wounded warriors after they come home. We become involved with the set of characters we have come to know and love. Getting to see one we have known deserved someone finally get his other half was just outstanding. While there are some hard scenes in this book it's real life as unfortunately things that are tragic do happen as the world is not all sunshine and roses.
