Review: Carter

Carter Carter by Seraphina Donavan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Awe

Another great book in the Bourbon and Blood series. I keep thinking the author can't do any better than the last one till I read the next one in the series. Books can be read as stand alone but you really should read the whole series.

Review: A MacKenzie Clan Gathering

A MacKenzie Clan Gathering A MacKenzie Clan Gathering by Jennifer Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Review is for the audio version

"Love Ian and Beth "
What made the experience of listening to A Mackenzie Clan Gathering the most enjoyable?
Geting to hear more about my favorite charaters Ian and Beth

Have you listened to any of Angela Dawe’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've listened to the quite a few of the other Highland Pleasures books and enjoyed them all. She does an amazing job with all the accents and keeping them so I can tell the characters apart

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Love at it's best

Any additional comments?
I'm so glad I found this series as I fell in love with it from the first listen. I did actually find this series through an audio book I won
Would recommond this for sure but I would tell you to go back and read/listen to Beth and Ian's first book

WITHIN THESE WALLS by J.L. Berg

WITHIN THESE WALLS is on sale for .99c for a very limited time! Don't miss this breathtaking story that shows us how love truly can conquer all...even the most damaged of hearts.

Google Play --> http://bit.ly/1o5jJH8

From USA Today Bestselling author J.L. Berg, comes a breathtaking story that shows us how love truly can conquer all…even the most damaged of hearts.

Within these walls, he became my solace, my sanctuary and my strength.

I am not strong. I am just a survivor of circumstance.
Isn’t that what we all do? Survive?

Each of us has our own set of circumstances to muddle through. Mine are just more…complicated.

Born with a severe heart defect, I’ve seen the inside of a hospital room more than my own bedroom.

I was drowning, a prisoner to the illness that owned me, until he appeared. He thinks he’s blocked out the world with his tattoos and hard exterior, but I see the real Jude, the one he so desperately wants to forget.

But is he the answer to my prayers or will he break my already damaged heart forever?

My name is Lailah Buchanan, and this is our story of hope, redemption and sacrificing it all for the one you love.

***Due to some graphic language and explicit scenes, this book is not recommended for readers under the age of 18.***

                                                                             MY REVIEW

This is one of those books that will touch your heart it is so moving. The strength of Lailah as she tries to have a life while dealing with a life threatening problem is amazing. Jude just floored me as the lost man who finally comes to life when he meets Lailah. This is a story that you really need to read.

Review: The Seduction of Elliot McBride

The Seduction of Elliot McBride The Seduction of Elliot McBride by Jennifer Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Audible version review

"My second favorite characters after Ian and Beth "
If you could sum up The Seduction of Elliot McBride in three words, what would they be?
Great love story

Who was your favorite character and why?
Elliot cause he worked so hard to overcome his PTSD caused by him being held captive for almost a year

What about Angela Dawe’s performance did you like?
How she did such a wonder job of bringing the story and characters to life for me

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes I would have loved to listen to it all in one sitting as I was so engrossed in the story

Any additional comments?
I know some reviews did not like the story but this is my second favorite of this series right behind Ian & Beth. I loved how Elliot loved Juliana so much she was his reason for surviving his horrible ordeal. While they may not come out and call it PTSD back then that is what Elliot had to learn to deal with. I loved how Juliana and his family that Elliot gathered to him helped him work to deal with his PTSD
